This is the latest of a series of extremely popular courses which I have run for the Workers’ Educational Association in Shipley (West Yorkshire, UK). It focuses on four topics – communications networks, the development of the textile industry, coal and the age of steam, and the development of light engineering in the valley. The course features a mixture of classroom sessions and guided walks.

For further information or to book places visit the WEA website.

thanks for info Dave. Hope to make it to one of the Ikley walks. Have really enjoyed the previous ones you’ve led there and also at St Ives Estate.
